The Japan debut of Carl Stone’s trio composition LAUBURU, which has been performed numerous times n festivals in Europe. Three instrumentalists, MIN Xiao-Fen (pipa, voice), Yumiko TANAKA (shamisen, voice) and Carl STONE (laptop) join together in a score not on the printed page but by aural instructions delivered to the players via headphones.
The first half of the program features solos and duos from the members, in what promises to be an exciting debut concert for this ensemble.

Carl Stone’s LAUBURU tour continues to Kyoto, where the three members, MIN Xiao-Fen (pipa, voice), Yumiko TANAKA (shamisen, voice) and Carl STONE (laptop) join together to perform in the Kyoto’s intimate gallery venue Shin-bi. The evening will also feature Stone’s ACID KARAOKE duo with MIN, as well as solos and improvisations.

Final concert in the Carl Stone LAUBURU tour, featuring MIN Xiao-Fen (pipa, voice), Yumiko TANAKA (shamisen, voice), Carl STONE (laptop, composition) join together to perform Stone’s composition LAUBURU, composed for the Transonic Fesival Berlin. The evening will also feature Ston’e ACID KARAOKE duo with MIN, as well as solos and improvisations.

Carl Stone joins up with Alfred Harth, improviser, composer, visual artist and juggler, one of the more colorful figures of the current music scene, born in Frankfurt, now living in Seoul. - uses different artistic means of expression. Harth is an improviser, composer, visual artist and juggler, and his work number is located in a permanent “work in progress”. This performance at the ROT - Festival für aktuelle Musik und audio art, titled “Adler_Kino 1166-1215 ” will be the first time these two artists come together! Don’t miss it.
