Carl Stone Lecture presentation “As Slow as Possible”, as part of the Unyazi Electronic Music Festival taking place September 12-16. Carl Stone performs at the latest edition of the international Unyazi Electronic Music Festival between 12 – 15th September 2012. Unyazi means ‘Lightning’ in the Zulu language. This year’s roster includes Hans Tammen (USA) , Die Schrauber (Mexico, USA, Germany) Lukas Ligeti (Austria/USA), Carl Stone (USA/Japan), the Hadron Ensemble (Switzerland) and Darragh Morgan (UK). South African artists who will participate in the festival include Dimitri Voudouris, Warrick Sony, into, Cameron Harris (UK/South Africa), Jill Richards, Aragorn, and João Orecchia.
This engagement is supported by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation through USArtists International in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
In addition, all broadcast media appearances promoting the engagement must credit the National Endowment for the Arts and Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation for support.

Carl Stone performs “Sonic Excursions, from Al-Noor to Zang”, as part of the Unyazi Electronic Music Festival taking place September 12-16.
Unyazi means ‘Lightning’ in the Zulu language.
For his performance, Carl has adapted two of his compositions to include South African musicians. The program incudes:
